Below is Mark Zarbo Hockey’s cancellation, weather & payment policies. We understand that things happen and schedules can change. We do our best to be flexible and take extenuating circumstances into account. If ever any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

**Note: Due to current COVID Pandemic we are having to be strict on our cancellation policies. We chose not to raise our camp/session rates or change our policies. For that reason we are being strict on our cancel policy as we are operating at reduced capacities to adhere to NYS guidelines. Thank you for your understanding and support!


Mark Zarbo Hockey Payment Policy

After filling out and submitting a sign up form, players will receive an email receipt with copy of their sign up, invoice and payment options.  Players MUST pay for sessions prior to attending. 

Pay as you go: We do NOT allow pay as you go as a payment option. Only players on fill in/waiting lists can pay as they attend or pick up late session cancels. If signing up for multiple sessions or programs in advance, all of those programs must be paid for in advance. If financial restrictions limit your ability to pay in full up front, please contact Mark Zarbo Hockey and mutually agreed upon payment plan can be setup.

Note, whether you attend or not you are financially responsible for all programs signed up for. When you sign up you are reserving a spot(s) in that program and it is expected that your player is attending. Any programs signed up for that are not attended and not paid for will be held against and added into future sign up balances. We will not give away any spots reserved unless proper written cancellation is received. See cancellation policy below for details.


Payment Options

Cash: Cash is accepted. If wanting to pay in cash please have payments in an envelope with player name on it for proper recording.

Venmo: Mark Zarbo Hockey now accepts payments through Venmo. User name @Mark-Zarbo.

Personal Checks: Mail payment to PO Box 41, Grand Island, NY 14072. 

Bank Checks: Setup Mark Zarbo Hockey on your banks bill pay and have your bank mail payment. Address is PO Box 41, Grand Island, NY 14072. Phone number is 716-208-3724.

Credit Card: If wanting to use credit card please message Mark Zarbo Hockey at mark@markzarbohockey.com with your desire to do so. Note there is a 2.99% + .30 fee for use of credit card. This is the cost charged to us for use of that service. There is no service fee for cash or check payments.


Cancellation & Weather Policies

Summer, Nichols Small Group & Nichols Semi Private Skill Sessions

Players cancelling more then 7 days in advance of the scheduled session automatically can move the session to another open date or receive a credit for the cost of that specific session to use to any program we have at anytime. If less cancelling less then 7 days prior to a session Mark Zarbo Hockey has to be able to find a player to replace your player’s spot to to be able to move or issue a credit. We do not credit for cancels less then 24 hours in advance of a skills session, unless the player is able to find their own spot replacement.  Player’s are able to find their own spot replacement at anytime to receive credit and is very much appreciated.  If a player found their own replacement, they must contact Mark Zarbo Hockey and inform them of this change to receive credit. This policy is adopted due to these skill sessions being small numbers of players.

School Holiday Camps

Players cancelling more then 7 days in advance of the scheduled School Holiday Camp automatically can move to another open School Holiday Camp date or receive a credit for the cost of that specific camp to use to any program we have at anytime. If less then 7 days prior to a session Mark Zarbo Hockey has to be able to find a player to replace your player’s spot to to be able to move or issue a credit. We do not credit for cancels less then 24 hours in advance of a School Holiday Camp, unless the player is able to find their own spot replacement.  Player’s are able to find their own spot replacement at anytime to receive credit and is very much appreciated.  If a player found their own replacement, they must contact Mark Zarbo Hockey and inform them of this change to receive credit. Please note if your player is in a tournament the weekend of a school holiday camp this policy still applies and credit will not be given for late cancels if team makes it to a playoff or championship game.

Winter Weather Policy

Please note that with winter weather, sessions are only cancelled if the rink is closed and/or a driving ban is in place for the city or town the rink is located.  If a session is ever cancelled by Mark Zarbo Hockey, all players in that session will be contacted directly as well as the cancellation posted on social media.  Any cancelled sessions by Mark Zarbo Hockey would constitute a refund or credit to that player. A player missing a schedule session due to weather would not constitute a refund or credit unless it adheres to the cancellation policy above.

Please note that Nichols Rink & Nichols School are separate and that if Nichols cancels school it does not mean the rink is closed.  Travel safely and at your own risk! Follow Mark Zarbo Hockey on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram for latest information!

Hockey IQ, Midget, Mite Programs & 3 v 3 Cross-Ice League

Due to these programs having set schedules, progressive lessons or teams, we do not credit or pro rate programs for players missing sessions or ice times for these programs.
