Jared Cummins

Jared joined the Mark Zarbo Hockey coaching staff in 2017, becoming the first “player” turned coach for Mark Zarbo Hockey. As a player Jared enjoyed a successful career at Williamsville North High School, receiving First-team All WNY honors. After high school Jared continued his playing career at the University at Buffalo where he played on the Division 1 ACHA team for 2 seasons.

After his sophomore season at UB, Jared received an opportunity to pursue officiating in the NAHL, trading in his life as a player for a career as an official. He is currently under contract with the USHL and the AHL as an official. He has attended multiple NHL Official Combines as well as was an official for the NHL Prospects Challenge in 2022.

As a coach Jared is known for being high energy and creative in his teachings. Jared’s favorite skill to teach is skating but what he is best known for his Zarbo 3-on-3 league record. Five-year regular season championships with 0 playoff championships.
