⚠️ 2018 Birth Years: 2018 birth years are eligible for both the Skating & Puck Control Camps and/or Mite Summer Skill Camps . It is suggested that lower level/newer 2018 players sign up for the Mite age group and that higher level/more experienced 2018 players sign up for the Skating & Puck Control Camp.

⚠️ No Beginners Please: These camps are not appropriate for beginner-level players. A beginner is defined as a player who has not yet proficient with basic skating skills of stops/starts, crossovers, tight turns, backward skating, basic puck control, and basic edge work. We assume all participants can perform these fundamental skills, as all practices and sessions are designed with this in mind.

⚠️ Battle Camp Eligibility: Players (2018 – 2020 birth years) should already possess a very strong foundation of skating and puck skills. Those who are not yet strong in basic skating skills such as stops and starts, crossovers, tight turns, puck control, and edge work will not benefit from this program. For those players we suggest looking at our Mite Summer Skill Camps and/or our Spring & Summer Skill Sessions to strengthen their skills foundation.

⚠️ AAA/AA Level Players: These camps are designed for travel-level players only, as they assume participants already have a strong foundation in skating and puck skills. Players who are below this level should consider our Mite Summer Skill Camps and/or our Spring & Summer Skill Sessions to strengthen their skills foundation.

⚠️ 2015 Birth Years: Players born in 2015 are eligible for either age group. If your player is an average or lower-level 2015 AA player, we recommend the 2015–2019 AAA/AA group. If your player is a higher-end 2015, we recommend the 2008–2015 AAA/AA group. These recommendations help ensure all players get the most out of their registration.

  •
⚠️ 2017 Birth Years: 2017 birth year players looking at the Defense Skills Program should be “AAA” level.

Why? The Defense Program assumes that all players attending already possess strong skating and skill foundations. Players who are not yet at this (“AAA”) level will struggle to keep up with the group and not benefit from this program. If that describes your player, we highly recommend our Skating& Puck Control Camp and/or our Spring & Summer Skill Sessions (pick and choose dates, times, and topics) to focus on strengthening their skill foundation.

⚠️ 2015 Birth Years: 2015 birth year players are eligible for group #1 (2013 – 2014 AA/AA, 2015 AAA) and group #2 (2015 – 2016 AAA/AA, 2017 AAA) age groups. If your player is an average/lower level 2015 AA player we suggest signing up for Group #2. If your player is a higher end 2015 player we suggest Group #1.

Why? Players get the most out of the Defense Program when they are at a top-to-average skill level compared to the rest of the group. When a player’s skills are behind the group, it becomes very difficult for them to apply the concepts being taught, as they are mainly focused on just trying to keep up. That’s why, new this summer, we’re allowing more flexible age sign-ups across groups and programs. This ensures a better fit and helps players get the most out of their experience!

  •
⚠️ Camp Eligibility: Players should already possess a very strong foundation of skating and puck skills. Those who are not yet strong in basic skating skills such as stops and starts, crossovers, 2 foot tight turns, puck control, and edge work will not benefit from this camp. For those players we suggest looking at our Spring & Summer Skill Sessions (pick and choose dates, times, and topics) to focus on strengthening their skill foundation.
